Sysmä Book Village Ltd has two operating areas at this moment; the bookstore and publishing and also the Book Village Days, which are organized with the association. The company owns Book Village shop and is a shareholder in Sysmä Bookstore Oy.

Publishing activities include the Book Village magazine, a yearly calendar, post cards and books. The Book Village magazine appears twice a year, in June and November. The magazine has been published since 1997 and all in all it had appeared 15 times by the end of 2005. Sydämessä Sysmä- wall calendar has been published successfully in the years 2005 and 2006. Five different kinds of Book Village related post cards have been published, from which one is a Christmas card.

Out of the books that have been published, Sydämessä Sysmä, which was published in 2003 had an excellent reception and it has been nearly sold out. In the summer of 2005 the book Piin Parhaat 1975-1985 first saw daylight. The latest book - Lapsuuteni Sysmä - was published for Christmas of the same year. The books that have been published complete the book tradition that is connected to Sysmä and the town's people in an excellent way. In addition to the books aforementioned the company has published a private book of poetry.

The board of Book Village Ltd is formed by Pauli Leimio as president as well as Hannu Jolula, Jari Niemi, Antti Karhos and Leo Vilen as actual members.
